We give audible praises unto God.
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God
continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his
name. (Heb 13:15)
Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy,
all ye that are upright in heart. (Psalm 32:11)
Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints
shout for joy. (Psalm 132:9)
We clap our hands.
O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of
triumph. (Psalm 47:1)
We lift our hands.
Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy
name. (Psalm 63:4)
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD. (Psalm
134:2)
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands,
without wrath and doubting. (1Timothy 2:8)
We dance before the Lord.
Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in
the congregation of saints. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him:
let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise
his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the
timbrel and harp. (Psalm 149:1-3)
Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed
instruments and organs. (Psalm 150:4)
And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was
girded with a linen ephod.
(2 Samuel 6:14)
We pray with the laying on of hands and with Anointing Oil.
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it
shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they
shall recover. (Mark 16:18)
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church;
and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of
the Lord: (James 5:14)
We use musical instruments in Praise and Worship.
Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the
psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him
with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud
cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. (Psalm 150:3-5)
And I
heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the
voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping
with their harps: (Revelation 14:2)
